Update – Latest Morebeer Order

So I ordered my latest beer oxygenation equipment and some other stuff from Morebeer on 8/15.  I noticed last night that their site still listed it as “being picked”.  Morebeer says it processes most orders with in 1-2 days.  So I sent in an email to their info email address to ask if really was still sitting on the warehouse floor waiting to be picked.

I got a nice reply this morning apologizing for the delay, and I received confirmation that it had indeed been shipped out last night.

So the countdown continues to see how fast UPS can get that bad boy across country!

The brew dudes missed their chance to really change the world. You could have helped noted Washington Post columnist (and ESPN poker commentator) Norman Chad select a new beer: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/08/19/AR2007081901281.html.

Makes we wonder this: when the home-brew stock is running low, what comemrcially-available bottled beer do the brew-dudes drink?

  2. The beauty of commercial beer is the variety that’s available “on-demand”. As the seasons change so does what I reach for from the local “packie” cooler.
My most recent summer fav is Leinenkugel’s Sunset Wheat fantastic crisp wheat beer with a slight blueberry flavor and definite blueberry nose.
My regular commercial standby beers: Wachusetts country ale (lighter pale ale), and Long Trail Altbier (more aggressively hopped, but still clean and malty)

  3. Just wanted to let you know that there’s a new brewshop in town! Check out my website – http://www.DIYBrewing.com. I’m in NH right now, but will be moving to MA in the next couple of months to set up a shop. If there’s something you want that’s not on my site, let me know and I can order it for you. Shipping will be way quicker than waiting for it to arrive from Morebeer! Oh – and I’d love some info on the Portland ME fest. Thanks!

  4. Hey Mike from DIYBrewing, good to hear from you. I checked out the site and you’ve got a real nice start. Still planning a Springfield store opening? Tell us when that is happening and we’d be happy to talk about the site a bit more. Next time we need something mail order we’ll give you a try for sure and then talk about here on the blog.

As for Portland, check out this site: http://www.mainebrew.com/about.aspx
The Maine Brewers Festival is an annual favorite of ours we’ve been hitting it for the last 8 years! We’ll be putting up a post about it in late October before we go for sure.

If you’re thinking of attending, get tickets early because they sell out fast.
