The hobby of homebrewing beer

2009 American Craft Beer Fest

There is one thing that we discuss on Brew-Dudes.com that is not homebrewing related.

Well, not really.

We do attend our fair share of brew fests and we like to talk about them.  There are a lot of great things happening in the craft beer world that can feed the homebrewer’s imagination and certainly add to their education.

This Friday night, we are attending the 2009 America Craft Beer Fest happening here in Boston.

From the site:

Join us June 19 & 20 for the return of the east coast’s largest celebration of American craft beer at the Seaport World Trade Center Boston, featuring upwards of 75 American brewers, over 300 craft beers.

A number of us attended the fest last year and it was a good time. Mike is on a sour beer quest, which I am sure you will read about here after the fest.

Anybody else going?

  1. SOUR Beer! SOUR Beer! SOUR Beer!
Its the only thing keeping me going this week!

  2. I will be attending again this year… Hope to do some blogging/twittering or something from location like I did last year. Odd that you mention the sour quest, as I discussed similar plans with on of my friends. I proposed we each establish a goal/quest while there to find a beer we like from a style we hate. I hate sours, but though I should find some I like, my buddy doesn’t care much for hoppy beers, so I suggest he find an IPA he could learn to love, and my other buddy, well he drinks too much, I suggest he stay sober… LOL!

  3. I too will be in attendance on Friday night! I have my “must have” beers mapped out so I can get to them first! Can’t wait!!!

    Cheers!

  4. Bryon and Jason,

Very cool that you will be attending. I was going to twitter from the site but it’s too distracting. I would rather taste than text.

I gotta check the line up and see what my quest will be.
