We ran a poll last month to elect the summer beer of 2008. Now that the poll is on the second page of the blog and the summer solstice is quickly approaching, I felt it was appropriate to announce the summer beer of 2008: Hefeweizen!
Honorable mention goes to Witbier and Specialty Summer Ale.
No love for the Mexican Lager or the Milk Stout. 
So, go forth and brew, drink, and celebrate Hefeweizens this summer!

I just put my Hefe in bottles last week!!!!

Hefeweizen is the quintessential summer brew. Although, Kolsch didn’t make the list. I may be a little partial to the quenching qualities of this Cologne ale. If only because it’s currently in my carboy, as well as the glass next to the keyboard.
And us folks in the South have already experienced 95 degree days, in the shade!

We at Brew-Dudes.com ran a poll last month to elect the summer beer of 2008. Now that the summer solstice is upon us, we felt it was appropriate to announce the summer brew of 2008!…
