There's nothing like a smooth, warmed Russian Imperial Stout on a crisp fall day. Ummm, so comforting.

It's gotta be Oktoberfest! I recently tries Stoudts and Saranac Oktoberfest. Both are great, but the best I've had this year has to be Erdinger.

Annually, I purchase several cases of pumpkin beer and use it to water my plants.
I just like to get it off the shelves of my local "packy" to make more room for REAL beers.

I voted Porter only because it's been a long hot summer and now that it's finally cooling off I can no longer hold off on the darker brews. IPA's are always good year round, but a porter (or even a good stout) taste real good this time of year. You should also put up Pumpkin Beer as a category for fall.

Ironic. I was just writing up a review of Redhook Late Harvest Autumn Ale when I got your twit. I'm a seasonal beer geek... my fave beer are hefes and wheats, but those go on the shelf during the winter.

It's been "fallish" here in Colorado for a few weeks now. Temps in the AM have dipped down into the low 40s. It's time to crack out the Porters, Stouts and Oktoberfests (but none of that pumpkinny stuff; I like pumpkin in my pie, not my beer). ;)

I love winter, almost any "winter beer" is right up my alley. I voted Oktoberfest because they remind me the most of fall - probably because that's when they tend to show up in stores - but I love porters and russian imperial stouts this time of year, too.

I voted Porter, but a nice IPA is a close second.
